This bone carving earring is a beautiful piece of Māori jewelry. These Māori earrings have been handcrafted from beef bone. Each carving is supplied loose in a cellophane bag. As each piece is individually carved so slight variations can occur.
This style of Māori bone earring is known as Kapeu due to the subtle curve of its rounded lower tip. The kapeu are highly prized and a sign of high rank in Māori society.
