This necklace is a beautiful piece of Mãori jewellery. Carved from genuine Nephrite Jade. Makes a wonderful Kiwiana gift or NZ souvenir. This Mãori necklace is strung on a braided traditional black wax cord. The height that the pendant hangs at can be adjusted using the sliding knots. Each carving is supplied loose in a plastic sleeve. As each piece is individually carved slight variations can occur. 

The Twist represents the path of life and is a symbol of the strong bond between loved ones.
